TDS, for Time Domain System, or Time Domain Spectroscopy, refers to terahertz systems using a femtosecond laser to generate ultra short pulses. The frequency band of these systems is typically 0.1 to 4 THz for systems using photoconductive antennas. It is also possible to reach much wider frequency bands using crystals or air plasma generation.
